Our Services

Direct Therapies

At FSI, we offer a variety of therapy services depending on the needs. We have qualified occupational therapists who work closely with the teachers, parents, caregivers and other therapists to improve functional skills such as motor skills, social interaction, attentional skills, handwriting, Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and other independent living skills.

 

We work closely with speech therapists who render their services directly to the children and train the parents and caregivers to continue with the services at home. Other therapies include sensory integration for children who struggle with integrating their sensory input and play therapy to improve social interaction.

Children who qualify for the Early Steps program have at-risk or confirmed conditions that can lead to physical or mental delays, such as:

 

 

Early Intervention is the term used to describe the services and supports that are available to babies and young children with developmental delays and disabilities and their families. These may include speech therapy, physical therapy, and other types of services based on the needs of the child and family. They can have a significant impact on a child’s ability to learn new skills and overcome challenges and can increase success in school and life.

 

Early Steps Services

The program’s services are based on a child’s strengths and needs and may include:

 

  • Assistive technology devices
  • Audiology services
  • Behavioral services
  • Family training and home visits
  • Occupational, physical and speech therapy
  • Service coordination
  • Vision services
  • Other individualized services
