Dietary Interventions
Many children with low oral muscle tone, sensory processing disorders (like those with auditory sensitivities) and those on the autism spectrum have challenges specific to foods and may struggle with chewing food, eating food with certain textures or smells. Our therapists evaluate the dietary needs and recommend specific interventions and the types of foods they should be fed.
Dietary intervention is done in school and at home. Our therapists and dietitian work on different strategies to improve the dietary intake of children. Contact us to learn more about our methods.
